The computer Unit is headed by a computer expert, appointed by the Government Delegate. The Head of the Computer Unit shall have the rank and prerogatives of a service head. His duties include:

• Conceiving and implementing the data processing system of the council.
• Conceiving and setting up databases relating to the management of the City Council and their exploitation.
• Providing aid for developing computer science and office automation
• Preserving and distributing data.
• Ensuring the maintenance and replacement of software.
• Managing the website and email of the City Council.
