Like all Cameroonian Cities, Limbe plays host to many football teams. The prominent team is Victoria United that is in the elite league. Other sporting activities include Lawn tennis, Volleyball, Badminton, handball, cycling etc. These events attract many people from all over the nation, especially former inhabitants of Limbe, who had left the town and moved elsewhere, large number of them, return home for these events.

Long distance races are usually organised during the dry season. Marathons are becoming an annual cultural event. Some of these races include the SONARA marathon race, which comes up in march, the SEME NEW BEACH marathon race, which comes up in the month of February, the NJALLA QUAN SPORTS ACADEMY marathon, which comes up in April. Some of the city dwellers also take part in the former annual Guiness Mount Cameroon race of hope.

Communication is easy with the availability of a landline provided by CAMTEL, the main phone company. There are three mobile phone networks-MTN, Orange and Citiphone. Phone calls can be made within and without of the country easily. There is the availability of many internet service providers (cyber café) and suppliers.

Limbe is accessible by land and sea causing investors to move into the area. The mode of transport in Limbe is by taxi. We also have commercial motorbikes, which ply the quarters. There are also vehicles on hire to ease movement. For interurban transportation, there are various traveling agencies like Guarantee Express, Patience Express, Moka Express and a host of other express agencies plying the cities.

Limbe has numerous banks such as BICEC BANK, SCG-Credit Lyonnais, Amity Bank, SGBC, Union Bank, Afriland Bank and many smaller financial institutions. They also have credit and debit card facilities and there are ATM machines for withdrawal of cash at any time. Travellers therefore donot need to travel with cash in hand. There are money transfer facilities such as MoneyGram, Western Union, Express Union, Afriexchange, which transfer money within and without of Cameroon at an affordable cost.
