The Municipal police shall be headed by a municipal police chief with the rank and prerogatives of a service head who is directly answerable to the Government Delegate. He is in cahrge of:

• Regulating and managing traffic as well as parking in collaboration with the forces of law and order.
• Ensuring the security of council goods, persons and property.
• Administrative management of all motor parks.
• Supervision of the implementation of legislations related to public security and various urban risks in collaboration with services concerned.
• The management of urban risk and disasters and civil protection in collaboration with all services concerned.
• Any other duties assigned by the Government Delegate of Secretary General

It shall comprise a fire brigade bureau.
