The Social Service is placed under the authority of the Social Service Officer with the rank of Chief of Service.

The social service is made up of:

• NGO/hire services, infrastructures
• Civil Status Registry
• Library
• Archives

Role of the Social Serice Coordinates all the bureaus placed under its jurisdiction, that is, library, civil status, NGO/live services Daily management of the library Updating library stock Acts as a liaison between the council and suppliers Monitoring activities of NGO's Registering NGO's in the municipality Proposing modes of assisting NGO's, and other social groups/activities The strict implementation of civil status rules and regulation relating to birth, death, marriages, adoption etc. Preserving civil status registers Establishing birth certificates Preparing marriage notices Conception and implementation of a modern filing system of administrative and technical documents The collection, treatment, conservation and information of documentation af the achives of the Council. The reproduction and distribution of working documents Supplicating machines for reproduction. Vision for the Municipality A municipality with recognized NGO's working for the good of its citizens Maintain a social relationship with its citizen, sharing concern for their welfare etc. Maintain an up to date and modern recording system of births/death/adoption etc.
