Cameroon is a bilingual nation and Limbe is a very bilingual city. The promotion of bilingualism occupies a primordial position in the Limbe City Council’s priorities. However, monolinguals do exist and cannot be sidelined. There is therefore the need to make them feel comfortable in any language that they master by providing quality translations to all who visit our offices. In this light, the translation service is therefore sollicited in all linguistic problems in the Limbe City Council since it plays the role of a bridge between languages and cultures by breaking any existing language barriers. The Translation service is headed by a senior translator with the rank and prerogatives of a service head. His duties include:

1. Faithful translation of documents from French into English.
2. Faithful translation of documents from English into French.
3. Interpretation from French into English.
4. Interpretation from English into French.
5. Ensure that, correspondences going out meet official standards.
6. Any other duties assigned by the Government Delegate.
