The Works service is headed by a Service Head. It has the following sectors;
  • Bricklaying Sector
  • Carpentary Sector
  • Electricity Sector
  • Plumbing Sector
  • Transport Sector
  • Fire brigade Sector

Role

  • Managing all logistics
  • Elaborating, recruiting and follow up of urban development policies.
  • Follow up of inplementation of laws and urban services and the exploitation of various networks.
  • Follow up of contracts on the management of equipments.
  • Drawing up of estimates for council projects.
  • Collaborating with other technical services of the municipality
  • Issuing satisfactory certificates on the completion of works.
  • Fostering technical relationships with other councils.
  • Grade earth roads
  • Repair damage roads
  • Programming, studying and realising extension and maintenance works of the public lighting network.
  • Elaborating, updating and following up of the execution of convertion on concession given to public services and related specifications passed with AES SONEL in collaboration with other services.
  • Maintaining and exploiting lights within the municipality.

Vision for the municipality

  • Ensure there are roads leading to every quarter in the municipality.
  • Earth roads are graded constantly.
  • Paved roads are repaired regularly
  • Ensure accessibility to quarters neighbourhoods.
  • Provide lighting in all parts of the town.
  • Ensure there are street lights everywhere.
  • Ensure lighting is taken to the various quarters and neighbourhoods.
  • Create a municipality free from fear due to absence of lighting.
